About Civic Lens

Civic Lens is a student-led platform dedicated to exploring legal issues, civic responsibilities, and the ways law shapes everyday life.

We started Civic Lens because we believe that every student should understand the laws that shape their everyday lives. Our goal is to breakdown these laws in a way that students can easily understand and apply to their daily lives.

Here at Civic Lens we provide a student perspective on the current legal world and how it affects students' everyday lives. We are able to do this through student articles that provide legal analysis and civic education.

At Civic Lens we value accuracy, accessibility, and civic engagement. We want to help people, especially students, understand the legal world around them by supplying them easily understandable articles that give a breakdown on current issues. Additionally, we heavily value transparency and credible research in order to supply the most accurate information for our readers.

Founder’s Note

I created Civic Lens because I became increasingly aware of how deeply law, public policy, and civic institutions shape everyday life; often in ways people do not fully realize. From education, to technology, privacy, and equality many of the issues that define modern society are rooted in legal systems.

At the same time, I noticed how difficult it can be for students to understand this legal world that shapes their everyday lives. I wanted to create something to bridge that gap, a platform created by a student for students.

As a student, I believe students need to be well informed in law, governemnt, and social change because we are the future. Civic Lens reflects both my passion for law and the belief that education is essential.

Thank you for visiting Civic Lens. I hope my platform encourages you to question, learn, and engage more deeply with the issues shaping our communities and future.
